Comedy Documentary Sorry You Live Here Premieres November 15 on YouTube

A chaotic road trip gone wrong becomes a cinematic travelogue from comedian Kim Bertrand and YouTuber Evasive

NEW YORK, NY — When a road trip to the Bonnaroo Music Festival takes a disastrous turn, it becomes the hilarious and oddly heartfelt foundation for Sorry You Live Here, a new comedy documentary film premiering November 15 on Evasive’s YouTube channel (@EvasiveOne).

The feature-length travelogue follows comedian Kim Bertrand and movie commentary YouTuber Evasive as they embark on a road trip through the Midwest and American South, bound for Tennessee’s iconic Bonnaroo festival. But their plans quickly unravel when torrential rains flood the grounds, canceling the event and stranding thousands—including the pair—deep in the heart of Tennessee. What begins as a carefree vacation vlog spirals into a cinematic odyssey about friendship, failure, and the absurdity of trying to have a good time when everything falls apart.

We filmed a lot of footage,” says Evasive. “When we got home, I asked Kim to edit a vlog out of our adventure. It took her four months. She didn’t make a vlog. She made an 80-minute documentary film. But it’s also still a vlog. A cinematic vlog, if you will.

Stylistically, Sorry You Live Here balances the irreverent immediacy of a travel vlog with the narrative depth and texture of a documentary. The result is a genre-blending, self-aware portrait of millennial misadventure—a film that’s equal parts comedy, chaos, and catharsis.

The project marks Evasive’s first appearance in a feature-length film, and Kim Bertrand’s directorial debut. Bertrand’s previous documentary credits include Appian Way’s Checkpoint Zoo, and she has served as Executive Producer on two horror films and an upcoming comedy streaming series for Tubi.

Sorry You Live Here is also the first release from Bertrand’s new production company, Big Stupid Horse, founded earlier this year to experiment with distributing feature films and series directly through branded social media channels.

The official trailer for Sorry You Live Here dropped on Halloween (October 31, 2025), offering audiences a glimpse into a road trip movie where the destination doesn’t matter—because everything that could go wrong, does.
